After a couple of days of heavy rain, the water came back on at the house today after nearly three weeks without it. I never thought I'd be so happy to hear the sound of a toilet flushing. What a luxury!! There are so many things I will never take for granted again....running water, high speed internet, TV, ice, Domino's, a big refrigerator, supermarkets full of everything you could imagine....I could go on and on. Nothing like five months in the bush to make you appreciate things.
Our big treat today: hot dogs. I found wieners in Kisumu this week. I think I'll eat a dozen.
